Good beer and hot dogs. Great service!

This is one of the best dining experiences we had in Amsterdam! Carter is located on a picturesque corner of a lovely neighborhood and in a nice evening it's outdoor seating provides a perfect backdrop to it's delicious menu. While known for their whole roasted chicken and fries (intended for 2 to share), a vegetarian can have a most memorable meal here with their roasted eggplant entree. Their drink menu contains some of the finest cocktails we found (like most restaurants in these parts, they have an extensive gin and tonic section). Make sure to try the Carter Platter, a selection of nearly all of the appetizer bites... And I highly recommend the avocado tartare (we started off sharing one, and then ordered 2 more). The staff is as friendly and competent as we've seen, and they were part of the reason that Carter gave us a most memorable meal.
